It’s official! Pluto’s in Capricorn

Where were you in 1995? That’s the last time Pluto changed signs. The planet of transformation spent 13 years in Sagittarius and your life has changed dramatically, according to where you have Sagittarius in your chart. Pluto can spend as long as 32 years in a sign, or as few as 13 (this has to do with it’s eccentricity of orbit).

The last time Pluto entered Capricorn was 1762. The following 15 years were somewhat eventful. British colonies in North America were getting a bit riled up over taxes and such. A disturbance called “The Boston Tea Party” took place, and late one night a guy name Paul Revere went for a really long ride on his horse. Before leaving Capricorn, a new nation was born. How that led to Elvis, Walmart and Nascar, I’m not quite sure. Perhaps we’ll explore this later. Aside from drastic changes in business and government, Pluto in Cap has to do with changes in geographical boundaries. In 1766, The Mason-Dixon line was drawn by two English surveyors named Mason and Dixon, oddly enough. In 1771, Russia and Prussia made an agreement about the partition of Poland. I haven’t heard any mention of it, but it wouldn’t surprise me if the Arctic region is in dispute this time. I believe five nations claim part of it (who knows…maybe it’ll just melt and there won’t be any boundaries to worry about!) In any case, This Pluto transit will last until 2024.

What does it mean for you? People with planets in the early degrees of Cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn) will be impacted more strongly than others at first. Also those born in 1972-1974. The house Pluto is in tells us where we must accept that we’re in a deep, long process of transformation that will take until 2024.

Stay tuned.
